T O P I C R E V I E WJacques van OeneWell here is a better view of the patch, not very big but it is something.. ----Jacques www.spacepatches.nl Robert PearlmanAnother view... a bit clearer (credit: NASA) KSCartistAny idea what this "structure" is that the rocket is flying to?TimRobert PearlmanIf I may venture a guess, it appears to me to be the docking target on the ISS to which the Soyuz will align itself... (The above photo is from Mir as I couldn't find a similar ISS shot of the same target after a brief search.)KSCartistIs this his personal patch or the "official" TMA-9 crew patch?TimRobert PearlmanThis is the official TMA-9 crew patch. You can see a picture of Tyurin wearing the same patch on Alex Panchenko's website (as well Tyurin's personal patch below). Enomoto's personal emblem is his 'D' mark, as can be seen at the top of Dice-K.com (per Enomoto). Greggy_DThat's one of the uglier patches I've seen in a long time. I don't care for it at all.Bill HuntIt's not the best patch I've seen, but far from the worst either.johntosullivanI see that Alex Panchenko is selling the TMA-9 patch in different versions, with red border, blue border and gold border.pargoo I just had a quick look at the spacepatches.nl site, and saw there were two different versions of the TMA-9 artwork. I'm guessing one is Jorges's? But is the other the actual Panchenko version? They are subtly different - (different font, different spaceship). More to the point, does anyone have a larger version of them? The one I just downloaded from spacefacts is a blue border one, similar to the design on the right, although it has the same font as the one on the left.Harald KraenzelFor the Alex Panchenkov Soyuz TMA-9 patches you can have a look at his site. Jacques van OeneThe red border artwork patch on my site came from NASA, and I do not have a bigger version of it...KAPTECAm I wrong or the three members of the Soyuz were wearing the blue version of the TMA-9 on launch day?lucspaceYes, the NASA photos confirm all three cosmonauts wore the blue-border variant...KAPTECThen, do you think we could consider it as the official patch, and forget the two others? (It would be great: a new, one flight one patch!) lucspaceI tend to consider the patch worn on the pressuresuit the official one. Unclear what happened here, as the commander was supposed to wear the red-border version...
